It was speculated that the Chairman Vince McMahon wants a live audience for the biggest show in summer. Although the location is not officially announced, there are speculations on where it could be taking place.
Location for WWE SummerSlam possibly revealed
Originally scheduled to take place in Boston, Massachusettes, the event got pushed back like the other PPVs before it. After the COVID-19 pandemic and an outbreak among facility personnel in June, authorities were considering many places to shift the shows.
According to reports, the company scouted several locations up northeast but were unsuccessful in striking a deal.
However, as per the latest report from John Alba of Spectrum News, an Orlando city spokesperson revealed that only the Amway arena “has a user agreement through October 3 for events without fans”.

Although there won’t be a live audience anytime soon, speculations are there for several LED screens. The screens will enable the virtual fans to be “present” during the matches, as seen in NBA and ESPN.

The Amway Centre could also be used for future events. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that the return to live TV will commence from Next Friday’s SmackDown on Fox.

WWE wants to host as much as Live TV as possible as it is blaming the ratings drop on pretaped shows and reduced light and sound facility.
The rerun to live TV will ensure an increase in production cost and traveling. WWE NXT won’t be impacted by it because it will remain at the NXT arena for a while.
