WWE Star, Undefeated In Singles Competition For 9 Months, Calls Brock Lesnar “Biggest Possible Challenge”

Fans love to concoct dream matches between their favorite wrestlers. They are often on the lookout for any potential match-up that can be on the cards. Sometimes wrestlers also have a dream opponent, someone that they admire and want to work with. A top WWE wrestler has recently revealed that Brock Lesnar would be his opponent of choice.

Intercontinental Champion Gunther has taken to the main roster as a duck to water. Ever since his SmackDown debut earlier this year, he has gone on to decimate many well-known names. He has faced wrestling veterans like Shinsuke Nakamura, Sheamus, and Rey Mysterio. And come out on top with dominating performances. And now, he wants to conquer the Beast?

Gunther talks about Brock Lesnar

The Ring General recently sat down with WMBD news for a chat. He was asked if he had a dream match of his own. Gunther replied, “If I had to pin it down to one name, I’d say it’s Brock Lesnar at the moment. When I was young and watching WWE, I enjoyed watching his matches.“

“Later on, when I progressed in my career, I was able to watch wrestling and analyze how people work. He’s always been somebody I was impressed with. He’s one of the best to ever do it. I think that’s the biggest possible challenge for me at the moment.” added the SmackDown superstar.

Gunther may not be bluffing as in a short time at the blue brand he has displayed his tremendous in-ring ability. With a mixture of hard-hitting style and technical wherewithal being a part of his repertoire. His intense battles with Sheamus in particular have skyrocketed his wrestling credentials to the summit. Additionally, he has also racked up an impressive 9-months undefeated streak in singles competition.

The former NXT UK champion had recently expressed his desire to face WWE legend John Cena if given the opportunity. As there are reports doing the rounds that the Cenation Leader might return to the squared circle at WrestleMania 39. But Gunther has certainly made his priorities clear on his dream opponent.

‘The Conqueror‘ Brock Lesnar has recently been involved in a heavyweight tussle with Bobby Lashley. But a match against the Ring General in the future would be an exciting prospect. Not only for the fans but also for Gunther.
