WWE released former WWE champion, Jeff Hardy, from his contract this Thursday. Sean Ross Sapp reported that the reason for this firing is that WWE offered Hardy an opportunity to join rehab, but the former champ denied it.
This is not the first time WWE has released wrestlers for not entering themselves in rehabilitation. Late Umaga and WWE Hall of Famer Yokozuna both denied WWE’s plea to join the rehab, so the company fired them.
However, the WWE Universe and the WWE superstars are standing with Jeff Hardy during this difficult time and are letting him know that he is not alone and the love and prays of millions of fans are there with him.

This just goes to show that Hardy worked so well with his colleagues, be it a rookie or a veteran.
WWE SmackDown superstar, Mustafa Ali, took to Twitter and shared his experience about the time when he got to share the ring with the Daredevil. Ali confessed that it was Hardy who pumped him up before the match and made sure that Ali was comfortable going in the ring.
“I got to compete against Jeff Hardy on Main Event. I made the assumption that Jeff was going to take it “easy.” Jeff says “Nah man, I’ve been waiting for this match. Let’s tear this sh*t up.” He was incredibly giving. I sincerely hope for the best for Jeff and his family.”

PWInsider reported that WWE pulled Jeff Hardy from the event because he was “sluggish” in the ring. Chiefly, the fans in attendance witnessed Hardy leaving the match midway.
However, there is no official statement from the former champion since his release.
