WWE SmackDown Results: Big E Suffers a Disappointing Defeat, Carmella Assaults Sasha Banks, Roman Reigns Sends a Stern Warning

Roman Reigns, Sasha Banks, Kevin Owens, Jey Uso, and others were a part of the latest episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown. While some segments were the continuation of the usual brawls, others gave us an insight to the future.

Here’s a recap of the event, along with the results.

Carmella vs. Sasha Banks (WWE Women’s SmackDown Champion)

Carmella and Sasha Banks were supposed to fight for the WWE SmackDown Women’s title at the upcoming TLC. However, Carmella challenged ‘The Boss’ for the title on tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

Since both of them are Superstars with flashy moves, it was unlikely either would take it down a notch.

Towards the end, Carmella was about to lose until she received some aid from ringside. Her assist tossed a bottle in the air, which distracted the referee. During this time, he pulled Banks out of the ring. As a result, Banks started chasing him around ringside.

Finally, Carmella brutally assaulted Banks, and smashed the bottle of champagne on her.

Carmella defeated Sasha Banks via DQ.

Roman Reigns (WWE Universal Champion) & Jey Uso vs. Kevin Owens

The Universal Champion assaulted his cousin on the previous SmackDown episode. During tonight’s episode, Uso and Reigns were making amends when Owens presented himself.

Now, interestingly enough, Roman Reigns allowed Jey Uso to take on Kevin Owens. Owens got attacked by Uso while he was making a statement about how he will challenge Reigns at the upcoming TLC, and even though he loves his family, they cannot be a part of it unlike Roman’s.

Jey Uso attacked Owens with a chair to the knee, and then with an Uso splash. KO had his knees ruined, but he insisted Reigns enter the ring himself. ‘The Tribal Chief’ almost gave in, but Paul Heyman talked him out of it, claiming that Reigns called the shots, and fought in his own time.

KO went backstage looking for Roman Reigns and was attacked by him with a steel chair. This is when he addressed Owens’ family and said they should talk some sense into him.

Sami Zayn vs. Big E

The match started after Big E taunted Zayn over having no merchandise. However, Zayn and Big E got into a fight where Zayn ran away after slapping Big E.

Big E followed Zayn, but the latter went under the ring and scored a victory by beating the ten count.

The Riott Squad vs. Billie Kay & Natalya

The Riott Squad had the match in their hands from the beginning. They started off with taking on Billie Kay.

Even though there were points where Kay and Natalya took over, they could not hold on to it for long.

The Riott Squad defeated Billie Kay & Natalya via pinfall.

Shinsuke Nakamura & Cesaro vs. Chad Gable & Otis

Cesaro and Otis started the match. The latter showed his improved skill set to the WWE Universe. While Gable and Otis had the muscles to hold down Nakamura and Cesaro, they could not dominate for long.

Coming to the end of the match, Cesaro tagged in Nakamura who used a Kinshasa to put down Gable.

Nakamura & Cesaro defeated Gable & Otis via pinfall.
