When ‘The Rock’ says, one listens. And when ‘The Rock’ returns, the wrestling world stops in disbelief. And that is what happened on Day 1 Edition of WWE RAW. While Triple H did mention the return of a former WWE champion, no one saw this coming.

The grand return of the people’s champ shook the roofs in San Diego. In fact, the massive tremors have even been felt online. So much so that it broke a social media record.

WWE sure knows how to tease its fans, and they sure did when Jinder Mahal’s music hit and he announced that he was the former champion Triple H must’ve been hinting at. The ‘Modern Day Maharaja’ went on a tirade regarding the culture and class of the United States before the unexpected happened.

The fans were greeted with the most electrifying music in all of sports entertainment as the People’s Champ was finally among the people again. The rock came out from behind the titantron, and the crowd was ecstatic. Looking bigger than ever, Dwayne Johnson came back to teach a thing or two about politeness to Mahal.

The adrenaline soaring through the crown even reached fans back home, as a recent tweet shared by WWE on X reveals that the return has broken the social media record with 171 million views already. “171 MILLION VIEWS! HE KEEPS BREAKING RECORDS! When @TheRock comes home to WWE, the world knows.” it read.

However, schooling the ‘Modern Day Maharaja’ wasn’t the primary agenda behind the return. As the 51-year-old hinted at wanting to sit at ‘the head of the table’. He had a lot to share on his return promo, so much so that it even ran beyond the scheduled time.
