Fightful Select revealed that WWE had plans for Katrina Cortez, Keith Lee, Karrion Kross, Scarlett, and Mia Yim. Now, we know that Vince McMahon absolutely loved the character of Keith Lee.

WWE creative team was behind these superstars

Lee won his first-ever match on the main roster against ‘The Viper’ Randy Orton on the Payback PPV in 2020. However, several injuries and health issues restricted Lee from reaching his full potential.

Eventually, when Lee resurfaced, the creative team got behind the former NXT Champion and repackaged him as Keith ‘Bearcat’ Lee as a heel.

However, Keith later confessed that he was not the one with the ‘bearcat’ idea. Instead, it was the creative team who came up with that idea.

Whereas, with the NXT pair of Kross and Scarlett, the company was looking at Scarlett as a wrestler on her own as part of either Raw or SmackDown, but then she was “sidelined” and she never appeared on TV.

However, it was Kross who had more heat backstage with officials and was not satisfied with the way the creative team was repackaging him on the main roster.

Cortez was drafted from NXT to team up with Sin Cara in 2019, but after Sin Cara asked for his release, Cortez was left sidelined and she never made it on the television.

Mia Yim, who was a big hit on NXT, was called upon the main roster as part of the faction, called Retribution. However, after Retribution broke up, Yim was hung high and dry in the mix.
