WWE shockingly fired Shane McMahon just days after he made his comeback at the Royal Rumble premium live event. Now, it is known that there was major backstage drama behind Shane’s firing. However, this recent revelation is about Brock Lesnar.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently reported that the former WWE champion Brock Lesnar was specifically mad about Shane’s intervention in the men’s Royal Rumble match.

Following is an excerpt of the report from the ‘Wrestling Observer Newsletter.’
“There were also disagreements regarding he and Lesnar regarding the closing stages of the match, and Lesnar pretty much does exactly what he wants. But this led to people being told one thing and then another, between Shane’s ideas, what Lesnar wanted, and what Vince wanted.”
“It was constantly changing all day and Vince was overruling Shane on his ideas and also agreeing with Lesnar.” [h/t: Inside The Ropes]
There were also reports earlier this week that since the sudden firing of Shane McMahon, the backstage morale is low and the superstars are genuinely concerned about their position in the company.
Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns are the future of the company
Recently, WWE also reported their most profitable year (2021), where they made over a billion dollars. Naturally, Vince will rely on superstars like Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, and Goldberg.
Because back in 2021, these three wrestlers ran wild in Vince McMahon’s company. However, with this report, it is quite clear that Vince McMahon is ready to listen to other wrestlers rather than his own son.
Many fans online think Shane and Triple H will one day form some sort of alliance with AEW in order to screw WWE. However, all of these are just wild stories.
Vince’s daughter Stephanie McMahon is still the Chief Brand Officer of the company. However, the situation of his son-in-law, Triple H, is peculiar.
‘The Game’ has been out of action since he suffered a major cardiac event last year. However, there are rumors that Vince is trying to erase the legacy of Triple H.
