Pro wrestling is a risky business. While it is a lucrative profession, stars often end up getting injured. While many are kayfabe or less serious, some are career-threatening and even life-threatening. Such was the case of Charlotte Flair. It was announced that Charlotte Flair had suffered major injuries and would be out of action for a while following an injury she sustained during a match on SmackDown. However, there have been some positive updates now and a possible return date for the Queen of WWE.

When is Charlotte Flair set to return to WWE?

As per reports, Flair’s knee injury was a success, and she has completed the required initial physical rehabilitation. It was also stated that she had returned to her home from Birmingham, Alabama, where the surgery and physical rehabilitation took place. If all goes well, it is reported that fans could expect her return by fall 2024.

Due to her injuries, The Queen of WWE will be missing out on the 2024 Royal Rumble, the Elimination Chamber, and the grand WrestleMania 40. It was initially reported that she would be out of action following the injuries she incurred during a match with Asuka on the December 15 edition of SmackDown back in 2023.

While any spotted a botch, fans thought that it might be a minor injury. However, the match was called off and Flair was taken backstage. After some assessment, it was revealed that she had sustained some major injuries and needed immediate medical attention.

While Flair is on her road to recovery, two other stars on SmackDown sustained injuries that made the referee call out the match

Another star got injured

On the January 12 episode of SmackDown, a match between NXT’s rising star Carmello Hayes and Austin Theory was scheduled. The two did put up a great show. However, in the heat of the moment, the two stars suffered a neck injury. They were about to perform a Spanish Fly. However, both Theory and Hayes landed on their necks and the match had to be called off.

Luckily the two did not suffer any major injuries. According to an announcement by WWE, the two suffered some minor face contusions and none of them suffered a major injury. While the two might still be appearing in the 2024 Royal Rumble, chances are that the two might take some time off to rest. While the two are safe, fans would still be eagerly waiting for the Queen to return soon. We wish Charlotte Flair a quick recovery.
