WWE RAW 02/12: Jey Uso Follows Cousin Dwayne Johnson’s Infamous Action From WrestleMania 40 Kickoff

When it comes to copying family moves, the Samoan family in the WWE has ample ammunition. We often see Jey and Jimmy paying tribute to their father or cousins with their iconic moves. This was seen once again during the opening six-man tag team match on WWE Monday Night RAW. Jey Uso followed in his cousin Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson‘s footsteps following his action at the WrestleMania XL Kickoff event.

Jey has been on a roll recently after his encounter with Gunther. Fans suspect that he may be in line for a singles title win with the Intercontinental Championship.

Jey Uso slaps Gunther like his cousin did Cody Rhodes

The New Day’s Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods and Imperium’s Ludwig Kaiser and Giovani Vinci have been at each other’s necks. Both have had singles matches and have taken revenge for what happened to their partners. Jey Uso confronted Gunther last week for the Intercontinental Championship. This resulted in a match featuring all six men.

During the match, there came a moment that reflected the Kickoff event. While Gunther had Kofi Kingston in a Boston Crab, he was trash-talking Jey Uso. However, this trash talk didn’t end well for The Ring General. Putting on his best Johnson meets Will Smith energy, the Uso did something that shocked the fans.

Jey, who couldn’t take it anymore, walked into the ring and laid the smackdown on the Intercontinental Champion. Jey slapped Guther to break the lock and shut him up. This got a massive reaction from the crowd, who wanted to see Jey dethrone Gunther after their previous confrontation.

The WWE are showing signs that Jey could face Gunther and win. Right now, Gunther has completed 600 days of holding the IC title. Dropping the title to someone like Jey would elevate both men and add to the title’s worth.

While there are no plans involving Jey Uso for WrestleMania 40, fans suspect the WWE will include him somehow. Jey is among the top babyfaces in the company. The fans love him and would love to see him on their grandest stage. While the match the WWE could lean towards is challenging for the IC title at Mania, there is another one.
