WWE Raw 01/29: Cody Rhodes Considers Changing His Story After Seth Rollins Returns With Emotional Promo

Cody Rhodes walked out on Monday Night Raw with possibly an announcement in mind that would involve him finishing his story at WrestleMania 40, but plans took a surprising turn very quickly.

Rhodes had just begun talking about his impressive achievement of winning back-to-back Royal Rumble matches before Seth Rollins’ music hit and the World Heavyweight Champion walked out to the ring.

It came as a bit of a surprise considering Rollins missed the Rumble with an injury suffered on Raw against Jinder Mahal a few weeks ago, and things were about to get even more interesting.

The champion interrupted the former AEW star and immediately stole the show, explaining why it should be Seth vs Cody at WrestleMania instead of Roman Reigns vs Cody at the Showcase of the Immortals.

“Do you want the Hulk Hogan title? The Hollywood title? The one for people who politic their way to the top? Or do you want the Dusty Rhodes title? The Blue Collar title,” Rollins opined.

“If you choose to fight Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, you’re making a mistake, I think you should fight me instead,” the champion added further.

A surprised Cody appeared to be moved by the impassioned promo and simply responded with “I’ll think about it”, suggesting he’s reconsidering his decision.
