WWE Raw 01/29: Bayley Drops Major Clue on WrestleMania 40 Opponent After Nia Jax Destroys Rhea Ripley

Ding-Dong? Hello! Bayley made her presence felt on Monday Night Raw as she addressed the WWE Universe alongside the rest of Damage CTRL after winning the Women’s Royal Rumble match on Saturday.

Bayley discussed how she went over 60 minutes in the Rumble and proved her doubters wrong, finally winning the match and gaining a direct entry to the main event of WrestleMania 40.

With Damage CTRL holding a lot of gold already, Bayley has been harping on the importance of her challenging Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Championship. This would showcase the dominance of her faction as they would then wield all the major women’s championships in WWE after her potential victory. So the natural choice would be to choose the Eradicator of the Judgment Day.

Rhea Ripley interrupted proceedings and made her way down to the ring but before she could do anything of note, Nia Jax appeared and destroyed the champion.

Jax hit the Champ with multiple leg drops before finishing her off with “The Annihilator” and making a major statement of intent. Jax proceeded to explain to Bayley how Ripley belongs to her and a visibly tense Royal Rumble winner made it clear that she got the point and will make the official announcement of her WrestleMania opponent on SmackDown on Friday.

With Iyo Sky the current Champion, it initially seemed unlikely that Bayley would challenge her, but tonight’s segment suggests a breakup of the faction may not be far, especially if Bayley decides to challenge the Japanese superstar at the Showcase of the Immortals
