WWE Pushing This World Champion to Fill the Shoes of The Rock and John Cena

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and John Cena are two WWE Superstars who were the face of the company during their respective wrestling careers. The Rock and John Cena established their roles as the standards of the WWE when they were working full time. But their career portfolio had an additional boost when they explored outside of the WWE.

Apart from wrestling, The Rock and The Champ built an empire when they got a ticket to Hollywood. And, instead of flexing their muscles inside the squared circle, John Cena and Dwayne Johnson have adapted to flex their acting skills.

Now, the WWE is looking forward to pushing another World Champion for a crossover in Hollywood.

That next guy is none other than Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. The Tribal Chief, aka Roman Reigns, is at the top of his game in WWE currently. So, naturally, WWE has massive plans for The Tribal Chief, even outside wrestling.

While speaking to Mathew Belloni of The Town, WWE President Nick Khan noted that the company sees Roman Reigns as the next big thing in Hollywood. Reigns will follow in the footstep of his cousin, The Rock and Peacemaker star John Cena.

Nick Khan said, “We think he’s certainly up there, and we have big plans with him [Roman Reigns] to help him with crossover, which we think will be great for him and certainly great do with him.”

WWE President stated that down the line when Roman Reigns will look for a way to be with his cousin, The Rock, in the film industry, the company will help him. In addition, Nick Khan also mentioned that playing the right card for Reigns will do great things for him and the company.

What does WWE President feel about The Rock and John Cena?

Nick Khan imagines that the success of superstars like John Cena and The Rock comes from the enhanced versions of who they are in real life. The President of WWE also sees Roman Reigns in the same light as Dwayne Johnson and Cena.

“The inner voice has to match the outer voice. It’s the same thing with our characters like Rock, John Cena, Stone Cold, Roman Reigns. Who they are now is who they are in real life, just amplified. That tends to work best for us,” Khan added.

Roman Reigns has left many WWE Superstars such as Edge, Goldberg, John Cena, and Brock Lesnar in the dust for the past two years. Roman Reigns is the longest-reigning Universal Champion in WWE history. The Tribal Chief has already headlined six WrestleMania main events. Therefore, the WWE sees enormous opportunities with Reigns.

In addition, Roman has already been a part of the ‘Fast and Furious Present: Hobbs & Shaw’ film. The Tribal Chief accompanied his cousin The Rock in this film.
