WWE Superstars Sheamus and Jeff Hardy have been engaged in a feud for months now. It started with Jeff Hary’s return, proclaiming that he was a changed man, leaving behind his history of substance abuse. Sheamus was having none of it, chastising Hardy about his character every step of the way.
Most notably, one Friday, Jeff Hardy was incriminated in a hit and run, which he was apparently responsible for. He was later cleared of all charges, but Sheamus still tormented Hardy, branding him a no-good junkie.
The Celtic Warrior beat Hardy at Backlash, after weeks of build-up. This was surprising, as fans expected somewhat of a redemption for Jeff Hardy. The whole storyline was getting tiring and contrived, and the WWE has just stretched it to run longer than needed.

The Feud Continues in the WWE?
The WWE has announced ‘A Toast to Jeff Hardy’ on Friday Night Smackdown next week, hosted by Sheamus himself. This is no doubt another dig by Sheamus at The Charismatic Enigma Jeff Hardy, since Hardy is supposed to be sober now.
The Sheamus vs Hardy feud has long overstayed its welcome. Many fans have voiced their distaste for the entire affair. Most notably, CM Punk outright ridiculed the unfunny, creatively bankrupt feud on Twitter, which showed fans that the feud was not exciting at all.

The peak of the feud was reached when Hardy threw his urine sample at Sheamus in the ring. This seemed like a funny move at the time, spawning more than a few memes. However, it lost its shock value once fans realized that the exact same thing had been done before in the WWE, with the same lines and everything.

The WWE also announced a new and interesting matchup for the Intercontinental Champion AJ Styles. Styles would be facing off against Drew Gulak, with the Intercontinental Championship on the line. Gulak is a very important friend of Daniel Bryan, who was the #1 contender for the title.
I’m gonna beat the passion back into @AJStylesOrg next Friday and then I’m gonna take the #ICTitle. https://t.co/hmrvVVQHVN

This adds another dimension to the title fight, as we can be sure to see Daniel Bryan involved in the mix somehow. Gulak took to Twitter, and confidently proclaimed he would win against Styles, and keep the Intercontinental Championship with him.
The WWE is fighting a slump in ratings. Making the best out of the Sheamus – Hardy feud, and the Intercontinental Championship contenders could eventually save them, and bring in a lot more fans through the excitement.
