There’s no denying that Vince McMahon is a genius in the pro wrestling industry. The Big Man has certainly revolutionized the pro wrestling industry. However, McMahon has some ideas that he liked to stick with, but it made him earn millions from it. 

Although sometimes the wrestlers have a hard time adhering to his instructions. In light of this, a legendary WWE veteran who is presently dominating in AEW offered an intriguing anecdote about a time when he wanted to confront McMahon due to an issue.

In a recent interview with Inside the Ropes, Chris Jericho related a humorous story about the buildup to his WrestleMania 18 main event match with Triple H and how a pre-match warm-up with The Game got him into a violent dispute with McMahon.

Y2J claimed that the WrestleMania 18 event lacked the necessary build-up. However, he and HHH managed to increase the match’s intensity during the week leading up to WrestleMania. He attacked Triple H with a sledgehammer during the rehearsal just before the event.

McMahon, on the other hand, wasn’t content and wanted to strike him harder. And Jericho says, “You can’t rehearse if you’re really doing it because there’s no crowd. The crowd is where you get the vibe and the adrenaline, and your whole energy comes from that.”

In addition, McMahon didn’t stop and kept yelling taunts at Y2J and forcing him to hit harder. This eventually led to Jericho wanting to strike McMahon.

Chris Jericho wanted to punch Vince McMahon

Y2J defended McMahon when he came under fire for a recent controversy. Jericho, on the other hand, wanted to assault him for pressuring him into doing something he didn’t want to.

He stated, “Vince was like, do it harder! Do it harder! and I’m like, “I’m not in the moment yet,’ and I remember he goes, Oh you don’t wanna do it? What are you on the rag or something?”

“I remember thinking, ‘You big-eared, big nose motherf*cker. I’m going to punch you right in your stupid face right now. Knock that toupee right off his head.”

Even though he wanted to attack McMahon, Jericho always has respect for the pro wrestling billionaire. Later on, in the same interview, Jericho praised McMahon, saying that there will never be another brain like him in the business.
