Goldberg returned to WWE SmackDown last week. Upon his return, the WCW legend challenged Roman Reigns for a shot at the WWE Universal Championship.
Though this looks like a dream match, most fans seemed uninterested. They even expressed their disappointment with this booking on social media.
Goldberg’s match against Reigns is his last match in the WWE if they do not offer him a new contract. Also, Roman Reigns is reported to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38 for the WWE Universal Championship.

All these scenarios have led several fans to claim that the result is very predictable. Former WWE superstar, Bully Ray is of the same opinion. But he also has an interesting take on Goldberg’s match at the 2022 Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event.
Recently, during an episode of the Busted Open podcast, Bully Ray revealed his take on this situation revolving around the WWE Universal Championship.

He said, “Personally, I would have Goldberg come back and beat Roman in Saudi and immediately do a rematch on SmackDown the following Friday night and put it back on Roman.”
“This would get genuine reactions and actually get people talking. It would be different and it would be the exact opposite of what it is right now, which is extremely predictable,” he added. (H/T: Ringside News)
It is also interesting to see how Goldberg will do inside the squared circle upon returning to action for the first time in over three months.
When did Goldberg wrestle last in WWE?
Goldberg’s last match in WWE took place in 2021. At the Crown Jewel PPV, he defeated Bobby Lashley in a ‘No Holds Barred Falls Count Anywhere Match’.
On that night, Goldberg showed the entire world that he has still got all the skills to take him to the top of WWE. But this time he will be up against Roman Reigns.
