Back in the 90s, WWE was a strange place to be in. There were certain superstars who dictated the narrative of the entire company and sometimes it felt like WWE chairman Vince McMahon was powerless. Eventually, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson also became a victim of this culture.

WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels has openly admitted that he was not the easiest person to deal with back in the day. The Rock made his debut in 1996, and after a bumpy ride, his career started to take off once he turned heel.

The Great One has confessed multiple times that he didn’t like Michaels’s attitude which is why they never wrestled together. However, after all these years, the fans think that The Rock is taking his revenge on Triple H and Shawn Michaels.

WWE’s senior vice president, Bruce Prichard recently had an interesting take on this notion. Speaking on the latest episode of the Something To Wrestle With‘ podcast.

Prichard added that The Rock didn’t feel vengeful back then but he is not sure of now. However, back then he also advised that when the top guys of the company get jealous of you, it means you’re doing a great job.

“Not particularly in that instance. When the top guys start saying ‘that guy is not gonna get over,’ When the top guys start making comments like that, that’s when you open your eyes.” said Prichard.

Recently, the Brahma Bull bought XFL from Vince McMahon. Not only this, The Rock and his sisters are good friends with WWE President Nick Khan, and the WWE Universe believes that the Great One is one the move.
