Though ‘The Hulkster’ did not win any major championships over there, he got involved in various feuds. And one such feud took place with WCW legend Sting.

At the Bound for Glory PPV in 2011, Hogan battled against Sting. At that time, Hogan was a part of the ‘Immortal’. Hogan lost to Sting at the PPV. After the match, the other members of ‘Immortal’ attacked Sting.

However, Hogan turned on ‘Immortal’ by helping Sting, turning babyface in the process. And on the following episode of Impact Wrestling, ‘The Hulkster’ appeared once again in his iconic yellow and red color ring gear.

During an episode of the 83 Weeks Podcast, Eric Bischoff and Conrad Thompson talked about Hulk Hogan bringing back his iconic yellow and red color ring gear after the Bound for Glory PPV in 2011.

Eric Bischoff comments on Hulk Hogan bringing back his yellow and red color ring gear in TNA

During the episode, Conrad Thompson asked Bischoff whether it was something that Hogan wanted to do or was it probably done to sell some merch.

Addressing this question, Eric Bischoff said, “No, it wasn’t a merch. TNA had no viable merch business plan. It was not a decision driven by an opportunity to make more money merchandising.”
