Chris Jericho pulled off a miracle back in 2001. Y2J defeated The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin on the same night to become the first-ever Undisputed Champion in WWE at the 2001 Vengeance PPV. First, he defeated The Rock to win the WCW Championship and later defeated Stone Cold Steve Austin to win the WWF Championship. But Jericho was not the first choice of Vince McMahon to be the first-ever Undisputed Champion in WWE.
In a recent episode of The Kurt Angle Show, Kurt Angle revealed it was actually him who was supposed to be the first-ever Undisputed Champion in WWE. But Vince McMahon changed it in the last second and gave the limelight to Jericho.
The Olympic Gold Medalist revealed that the week before the PPV, he was still supposed to be the Undisputed Champion. He further added that Vince McMahon wanted him to win the two titles. But then he admitted Vince came to him and asked if it was okay with him if Jericho became the Undisputed Champion because Vince wanted to push Jericho.
