Just like several wrestlers, Heyman has also switched promotions when he realized the need to do so. However, one of his ‘guys’, Rob Van Dam, recently sat down to talk about him in a podcast.

On the latest episode of ‘1 of a Kind with RVD’, the former WWE Champion shed light on what he thinks about Paul Heyman. He proceeded with detailing how Heyman was treated in the early 2000s in the creative team in WWE.

Van Dam started by revealing how much of a fan he is of Paul Heyman’s booking. According to him, he’s the best at the job. However, he found it extremely unfortunate when “He got a lot of pushbacks from the WWE office in 2001 during the Alliance. A lot of his ideas got opposed. Same thing when we brought ECW back for the Sci-Fi network. A lot of his ideas were opposed.

The WWE legend recalled the time Heyman’s ideas usually went unnoticed even though RVD considered them to be great. He went on further to justify his perspective on Heyman by praising him even more saying, “I think Paul’s got the best ideas ’cause they thought the exact opposite and tried to stop all of his ideas, but I agree with that sentence that he’s the best that I know of.
