

Eddie Guerrero was one of the most popular WWE Superstars of his time. Moreover, he was an incredible wrestler. Guerrero’s skill in the ring and on the mic is still unmatched. He has inspired many WWE Superstars over the years and remains one of the most well-known wrestlers of all time. Eddie Guerrero worked for ECW, WCW, and WWE and left his mark in each company’s fanbase. After the Monday Night Wars ended, WWE bought WCW and ECW combining Guerrero’s incredible fan base.
It is not only the WWE Universe that loved Eddie, but many of his colleagues and fellow WWE Superstars also respected the legend. One of them was WWE Hall of Famer Lita. Lita is a four-time WWE Women’s Champion. Moreover, she revolutionized women’s wrestling with her new look and extreme style of wrestling. However, there was one instance when Lita’s extreme style ended up backfiring. This happened when she did not take WWE legend Eddie Guerrero’s advice.

Recently, Lita gave an interview to Metro.co.uk. She shared her experience being in the ring with Eddie Guerrero during a match. She pitched Eddie a move which he was not very happy about. Lita said.

“There’s one time. I wanted Eddie Guerrero to powerbomb me. I wanted to jump off the top turnbuckle like I was going to give him a hurricarana to the floor, and he was gonna catch me and powerbomb me. ‘He was like, “No way, that’s gonna hurt you so bad! I don’t wanna do that to you, it’s gonna hurt you.”

Lita decided to go ahead with the spot anyway, against Eddie’s advice.
‘He was so adamant about not doing it, and I was do adamant about doing it – and it hurt me! I landed on the ground like, “He was right…”
However, Lita still feels honored to have shared the ring with the legendary wrestler.
The Legacy of Eddie Guerrero
Guerrero was more than just a skilled wrestler. He had this quality about him that made people love him. ‘Latino Heat’ played heel for the majority of his career. However, his heel persona was more about being slick and crafty than evil. During his babyface run, he was cheered without fail.

Eddie won the WWE Championship just once in his career in 2004. His untimely demise in November 2005 left the wrestling world in shock. WWE fans and wrestlers still remember and pay tribute to Eddie as perhaps one of the most skilled in-ring performers of all time.
