The WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle and Eddie Guerrero had a lot of heat inside the squared circle. Before his battle with Kurt Angle, The Latino Heat had just won the WWE Championship by beating Brock Lesnar. He defeated The Next Big Thing Lesnar at ‘No Way Out’ in 2004.

The former World Champion Kurt Angle faced Guerrero for the WWE Championship. This was the start of one of the biggest feuds in the history of WWE.

On an episode of Friday Night, SmackDown Eddie Guerrero was arrested for attacking the Olympic Gold Medalist in the middle of the ring. 

Kurt Angle talks about how difficult it is to pull punches

According to creative, Kurt Angle was supposed to beat Guerrero while his hands were tied behind the back. The Olympic Gold Medalist on the latest edition of The Kurt Angle Show spoke about how difficult it was for him to beat up a handcuffed Eddie Guerrero.

Kurt said, “When you know somebody’s handcuffed, and you have to beat them up, it’s really hard pulling punches because when you’re natural, you got your hands in front, you’re protecting yourself. So you can block some of the punches; they won’t get to your face.” 

The WWE Hall of Famer further stated that one is vulnerable if someone has hands tied behind the back.

. “It is a very difficult thing to do is to get heat on someone when they are handcuffed, especially if you don’t want to stiff them. And you don’t want to stiff Eddie Guerrero,” Kurt Angle added.

Kurt Angle was scared to knockout Eddie Guerrero

The incident took place a year before Eddie Guerrero’s unfortunate demise. Kurt Angle and other professional wrestlers knew he was not in a healthy condition. So The Olympic Gold Medalist could not knock out the late Eddie Guerrero when handcuffed.

Kurt Angle added, “So Eddie did not like to be stiff, and I think a lot of the reason was he was really banged up. The less physicality, the better for Eddie. I think that if he was a hundred percent healthy, he would have said, ‘Lay it in, do whatever you want.’ But Eddie, at this particular time, was very vulnerable. So this was a tough time for Eddie.”

WWE fans consider one of the greatest matches between the two was at WrestleMania 20. The late Eddie Guerrero clashed in an action-packed bout at WrestleMania 20 for the WWE Championship against Kurt Angle.

Then, finally, The Latino Heat defeated The Olympic Gold Medalist for the WWE Championship. This feud between Angle and Guerrero was legendary and showed just how good these two superstars were.
