Speaking on Jim Cornette’s podcast, Cornette spoke on why Hogan would have been the ideal choice for ThunderLips. He said, Oh god! I mean, you know, the way the part was written. A big blonde flamboyant giant, you know if you were going to go with the way the part was written, Hogan would have been the guy. Jim Cornette speaks on why Wrestling is different than Hollywood

In the same podcast, Cornette continued speaking on why Hulk Hogan had to be the ideal choice for the role of ThunderLips. Conrad suggested Stallone recommended Hogan for role, and left out Funk because of their relationship. The 61-year-old then concluded, Yeah! But see again there’s this thing again, Terry Funk you wouldn’t call him Thunder Lips and he’s not a giant. Then the part would have been written that Sylvester Stallone fights this crazy wild psychotic wrestler.”
