However, ever since Shield broke up in 2014, Roman had a tough time with the WWE Universe. What do we mean by WWE Universe? Well, accolades-wise, Reigns achieved everything in the WWE ring, from Royal Rumble to defeating Undertaker at WrestleMania.

But one thing, he couldn’t win was the fans’ approval. WWE legend and two-time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T admitted that it was the fans who forced WWE to change the course of Roman Reigns’ career.

Booker T confesses Roman Reigns is the greatest performer of his era
The reigning WWE Universal champion never lacked the skill set to reach the top of the mountain. However, fans were just tired when WWE tried to push him as the ultimate babyface like the next John Cena.
However, this plan from the backstage authorities backfired when fans outright rejected the idea of Reigns headlining WrestleMania’s or being in the championship picture.
Speaking on the latest episode of his podcast, ‘The Hall of Fame‘, the six-time world champion admitted that fans were the ones who changed Vince McMahon’s mind.
“I think the fans perhaps wanted to see him in a different role and then trying to motivate the company to move that person into that role. I think the fans these days can hijack a whole show. They can make you want to do it the way they want.” he said.

Now, with his heel turn since 2020, Reigns has been unstoppable and he has laid waste to legends like John Cena, Edge, Rey Mysterio, Brock Lesnar, and the list goes on and on.
Now, the WWE Universe loves to hate the champ because Reigns delivers promos like a cocky heel who has no sense of conscience.
