“Stone Cold” Steve Austin was the highlight of the Monday Night Wars. Moreover, he worked with some of the biggest names in wrestling, including two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair. The Nature Boy loved working with Austin back in their WCW days and the two share fond memories of their time together.
Stone Cold is perhaps the most popular WWE Superstar of all time. His character defined an entire era of WWE, known as The Attitude Era. In the late 1990s, the wrestling world was at war as Vince McMahon’s WWE took on Ted Turner’s WCW.
The Monday Night Wars saw legends being born and one of them was Austin. Austin’s work in WWE helped the company win the war. However, earlier Stone Cold first used to work for WCW. Also, someone who worked there was The Nature Boy Ric Flair. The two legends got a few opportunities to work with each other.

On a recent video shared by Ric Flair’s “Woooo Nation” YouTube channel and podcast, Ric Flair remembered the old times talking to his guest Steve Austin. Ric said that he loved Austin’s work in WCW alongside Ricky Steamboat. Moreover, Flair also enjoyed working with Austin himself in a tag team match. He said they only faced each other a few times, but they were extremely memorable.
Ric also complimented Steve on his time with Brian Pillman as The Hollywood Blondes, especially when the team did a skit on Flair.
Ric said, “Well, you guys crashed The Flair for the Gold and then you know it worked out great,” Ric added. “That thing got over great when you and Brian came out and we get one match,”
“The Flair for Gold” was a talk show Ric used to host in his WCW days.

Stone Cold was one of the many wrestlers who had worked for both WCW and WWE during his career. However, he did not find much success with his character in WCW. So at the apt time, he entered WWE, and the rest is history. Fans sometimes consider him the biggest reason for WWE winning The Monday Night Wars. He revolutionized an industry with his persona.
