Earlier this year Rousey returned to WWE after two years and is all set to face ‘The Queen’ at WrestleMania 38. Recently, WWE legend and Rousey’s former trainer and teammate Kurt Angle opened up about a misunderstanding he had about her. Moreover, Angle praised the ‘Baddest Woman’ for how far she came and made such an illustrious career.

Kurt Angle On How Ronda Rousey Proved Him Wrong

‘King Kurt’ and ‘Rowdy Ronda’ have developed a friendship through their tag team collaboration at WrestleMania 34. The Olympic gold medallists made a big impact in WWE by beating Triple H and Stephanie McMahon to teach the tyrannical ‘Authority’ a lesson. During a recent interview with CBS Sports, Angle talked about how Rousey proved wrong his initial understanding of her.

I think that Ronda didn’t understand the business quite totally,” Angle said. “The fans are going to react the way they want to react. There is really nothing you can do about it. You can navigate it to a certain extent, but you’re not going to know exactly what kind of responses you’re going to get. When you do, you have to accept those responses.”

However, ‘The Baddest Woman On Earth’ came so far from that. Ronda still made the massive return in Royal Rumble and called out ‘The Queen’ Charlotte Flair with the arena chanting “Ronda Rousey!”.

Speaking further, Kurt Angle said, “I saw Ronda win the Rumble. She’s going to be main-eventing WrestleMania with Charlotte Flair. She’s back on it. It’s pretty impressive considering she just had a baby a few months ago. The girl is a monster, she’s a thoroughbred. There’s only one Ronda Rousey and that’s for sure.

After losing to Becky Lynch in 2019 at WrestleMania 35, Rousey took a break to focus on her family. During the hiatus, she got really involved in gaming, and in September 2021; she had a baby girl with her husband, Travis Browne.

Further, entering the ring at #28 and eliminating four, including Charlotte Flair, she earned a match at WrestleMania 38 Championship. Soon, on February 4 at SmackDown, she challenged the reigning champion, Flair. April 2nd, WrestleMania’s main event will be the clash of these two phenomenal women and fans can’t wait to see the most stupendous event in the history of WWE.
