Which is more loved in WWE, heels or babyfaces? Generally, the answer will be babyfaces. But there have been instances when the fans even loved the heels like babyfaces. One prime example of this is ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin.
This was back during the times of WWF invasion with ECW storyline. The fans talk about the invasion storyline to this day. Speaking on the subject, Conrad Thompson asked Kurt Angle about his experience working with heel Austin.
The WWE Hall of Famer replied that he absolutely loved working with heel Steve Austin. He felt that fans forget how good Austin was in the ring because his overall character was so strong.

Speaking on ‘The Kurt Angle Show‘, the Olympic Gold Medalist was all praises for his former partner and rival. Apparently, ‘The Texas Rattlesnake’ guided Angle during matches and made them more exciting. Angle said,
“I actually liked working Steve [Austin] when he was the heel. He’s so good at it and you know he led me through the matches and just took control.
“And you know, he was a great improviser. He knew how to kill time when we had to, he knew how to shorten time when we had to.
“He was a very underrated worker. People don’t know how good he was in the ring because his character was so strong. He was a beer-drinking, a*s-kicking r*dneck.
“But in the ring, he was every bit as good and I enjoyed working him when he was a heel. He led me through the matches. It was pretty incredible.”
