WWE Legend John Cena Legitimately Burst Into Tears While Filming a Sequence in Peacemaker

When the 16-time World Champion John Cena announced that he will be moving to Hollywood to try his luck in the show business, casual fans were excited. However, his decision to pursue acting was met with mixed reactions from the WWE Universe.

Eventually, Cena’s performance in Peacemaker left the fans speechless. Even the legendary comic book movie director, James Gunn, had to acknowledge the fact that Cena is a born actor, and whatever he does, it comes naturally in front of the camera.

The highly-anticipated finale of Peacemaker arrived on HBO Max this Thursday and the Peacemaker director, James Gunn, was baffled by seeing the actual tears in Cena’s eyes while delivering a scene.

There was a scene where Cena had to deliver an emotional hospital scene with Jennifer Holland. However, it was in this scene where Gunn noted that Cena had ‘real’ tears in his eyes. The director also admitted that Cena didn’t have to cry all the way as the camera was focusing on Jennifer.

“In the hospital scene, @johncena broke out in tears when he took @jennlholland’s hand & she started crying. The camera wasn’t on him.” Gunn wrote.

This series and along with other Hollywood projects prove that Cena is a versatile actor. The former WWE champion surprised everyone by putting on an excellent performance in the series.

Recently, after seeing his performance as the Peacemaker, the fans argue on the internet about who is a better actor between Dwayne ‘The Rock‘ Johnson and John Cena.

Although The Rock has a massive fan following and was once the highest-paid actor in the business, the fans really took the side of John Cena and claimed that he is a better actor.

Now, it is like a dream come true that The Rock and John Cena are together in the show business, and maybe one day the fans might see them working together on a project.

However, the WWE fans still want to see ‘The Champ‘ back in WWE for one last time. Cena’s last in-ring appearance was against ‘The Tribal Chief’ Roman Reigns at the SummerSlam PPV.

Currently, there is no timeline for Cena’s return to the squared circle. However, the Peacemaker actor might come back to have one proper run with the company.
