Undertaker faced Hulk Hogan at Survivor Series 1991
Hulk Hogan and The Undertaker have a strange past. They were both icons of Vince McMahon’s company, but at separate times. Their paths first crossed in 1991. Taker challenged Hogan for the WWE (at the time WWF) Championship at Survivor Series.
Ric Flair, the former WCW Champion, got involved in the finish of the match. Taker dominated Hogan and won the title after hitting him with the Tombstone Piledriver on a chair which was held in place by Ric Flair himself.
Taker and Hogan starred in a Hollywood movie together
The same year, Taker and Hogan starred in a movie called Suburban Commando. The story was about an interstellar hero whose ship is damaged after a fight and he must hide on Earth till it can recharge. He rents a room at a suburban middle-aged family guy’s home and the two team up to fight bounty hunters.
The film also starred Christopher Lloyd, most famous for his role of Doc Brown in Back to the Future. Hogan was the protagonist of the movie, while Taker featured in a very limited capacity. In spite of that, Hogan found that movie important enough to mention in his tweet.
The rivalry resumed in 2002
Undertaker and Hogan crossed paths once again in 2002. This time, Hogan was the Undisputed Champion. He captured the title after beating Triple H at Backlash 2002. Hogan had returned to WWE that year after a stint at WCW, where he joined the New World Order.
It was a high stakes main event, featuring the American Badass vs the American Hero. Both men gave their absolute best, before Vince McMahon tried to screw Hogan out of the title. His interference allowed Taker to hit Hogan with a final match winning Chokeslam.

Undertaker and Hulk Hogan have a bit of a weird history as well. At Survivor Series 1991, Hogan claimed that Undertaker broke his neck even though his neck was totally fine. This created a bit of a rift between Undertaker and Hogan.
This rift has not yet been fixed by either superstar. In an interview with ESPN, Taker revealed, “My radar was always up, anytime I had to interact with him.” In spite of the bad blood, Hogan did not refrain from sending the heartfelt message to WWE’s Phenom.
