Goldberg is all set to return to in-ring action at the 2022 Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event. And this time his opponent is none other than Roman Reigns.
The Tribal Chief defeated several WWE superstars during his reign as the WWE Universal Champion. But this time, he will come across a totally different challenger in Goldberg.
Last week on WWE SmackDown, Goldberg looked into Reigns’ eyes and challenged him for the WWE Universal Championship. Recently appearing at WWE The Bump, Goldberg recalled that moment and sent out a strong warning to the Tribal Chief.

He said, “Remember, back in the days, when I lined up against the offensive guard for Georgia Tech, and looked into his eyes and wanted to take his soul on the first snap? It’s pretty much the same thing.”
“And I do believe that when I look Roman straight into the eyes, he feels a little bit of that fear for sure,” Goldberg added.
But the former WWE Universal Champion also admitted that it is an honor and privilege to battle Roman Reigns. The match that did not happen is finally going to take place at the 2022 Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event.

Is Goldberg’s match against Roman Reigns his last match in WWE?
As for now, it seems Roman Reigns will be Goldberg’s last opponent in WWE. It is reported that Goldberg has got one more match left on his current WWE contract.
And his match against Reigns could be his last match in WWE if WWE does not renew his contract.

However, it will be interesting to see what WWE does if Goldberg defeats Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship at the 2022 Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event.
This looks less likely as Roman Reigns is reported to face Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 38. But you can always expect the unexpected.
