Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley have been at loggerheads for years. The two insanely gifted athletes reignited their feud weeks before WrestleMania 39, hinting at a possible culmination at ‘The Showcase of the Immortals’. Yet, when the WWE dropped its roster for the marquee event, Lashley didn’t even feature in any of the main matches. Brock Lesnar, however, had a new opponent- Omos. The unusual matchup between the 7 ft 3 in Nigerian giant and the 7x WWE Champion had many fans thinking that Lesnar may do the job.
Generally, a new talent is pitted against a former champion or a legend if the promotion wants the former to go over and build credibility. But the WWE has made it a habit to shock fans. Well, not just fans, a WWE Hall of Famer was also upset with the results and stated that the company missed a trick.

Booker T is one of the eight wrestlers to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice. There is no doubt that the legend is one of the most celebrated names in the pro-wrestling world. He also hosts a podcast- The Hall of Fame with Booker T & Brad Gilmore- where he shares his views on topics pertaining to wrestling.
In one of the episodes, King Booker shared his view on the Brock Lesnar vs. Omos match. The 6x World Champion was underwhelmed with the final outcome that allowed Lesnar to equal Dwayne Johnson’s feat of six wins at WrestleMania. Johnson meanwhile has appeared in 11 matches at WrestleMania, while Lesnar’s recent was his 12th match at the event.
“You know how I felt when they put that match together. I said this could be a moment for Omos to be able to grow, and to have someone like Brock Lesnar to help him grow,” he said. While Booker T said he understood the WWE’s logic behind Omos’ loss, he said, “…I did think there was a moment that we could have really made Omos the Ultimate Giant. Yeah, I think we missed a moment.”
Meanwhile, Lesnar turned heel the day after his match with Omos as he savagely beat up Cody Rhodes, having betrayed him on Raw after WrestleMania.
The Beast Incarnate, however, had an interesting take on his future, days before his WrestleMania appearance.
Brock Lesnar is not keen on becoming a WWE Champion anymore
Just days before his WrestleMania match, Brock Lesnar sat with former UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier for a chat. Lesnar, also a former UFC Heavyweight Champion, told his interviewer that he no longer needed to be a champion at this point in his career.

“…we all wanna be a champion, but I don’t think at this point in my career that I really need it, but I would like another opportunity at it if things worked out that way, yeah, but things are crazy in this business,” The Beast Incarnate said.
On the other hand, the WWE seems to have other plans for the burly athlete. Since his honest confession, Lesnar has F5’d his way to victory over Omos and pummeled Cody Rhodes to keep the fans on their toes.
