However, Orton recently made an interesting revelation about his career, claiming that he learned from Cena the most.
John Cena taught Randy Orton valuable lessons in pro-wrestling
Speaking on the latest episode of ‘The Ringer Wrestling Show‘, ‘The Viper’ confessed the most he ever learned in his pro-wrestling career was from 16-time Word champion John Cena.
Orton further noted that he has worked with legends like The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Triple H, and the legendary Ric Flair, but the learnings from Cena were the ones that helped the most in his career.
“I’m gonna go with Cena. I learned a lot from The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Ric Flair. [but] I learned just as much from [John] Cena, believe it or not. We’re roughly of the same age, we started out together.”
Orton then detailed what exactly Cena helped him with. Whenever these two wrestled in the ring, the match would become an instant classic, as the chemistry between the two is like something out of this world.
Randy confessed that Cena taught him fighting through the nerves while being in the ring.
“He [John Cena] dumbed it down for me to where it was so freaking easy to go out there. Even to these days you have nerves, the more you let those nerves take over you, the more the crowd is gonna see through… John helped me with that aspect.”
Orton might become a world champion at WrestleMania
The two wrestlers have produced numerous classic matches inside the squared circle, both as friends and as foes. The ability of storytelling and long-term booking was something that got both these superstars over with the crowd during their respective careers.
