The Cookie Master, CM Punk, was once a top-tier superstar of WWE. Punk had a 434-days reign of the WWE Championship. He also headlined many PPV events. But, due to his falling out with the company, CM Punk took retirement from pro wrestling in 2014. Last year Punk returned from his retirement and joined AEW, but it looks like he will not be performing there for a long time.
Fans knew CM Punk in the WWE for his outspoken attitude. Punk has broken the fourth wall from time to time, which was against the WWE rules. Many believed the rebellious attitude of CM Punk pushed the promotion to release him. But, he recently put speculations to rest by revealing he left WWE because of injuries.

It looks like CM Punk is going on a short period of retirement again. Rumors have surfaced on the internet that CM Punk has been suffering from an injury and surgery is in the process.
As per ‘WrestlingInc‘, Dave Meltzer from Wrestling Observer News said, “…he’s going to undergo surgery, and it was not confirmed to me that it was torn triceps, but it was confirmed to me that it was surgery for a torn muscle in the arm, so it’s triceps/biceps, maybe pec, but probably triceps.”
He further said, “usually an 8 month or so recovery period, so he was going to be stripped of the title either way.”
