The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar has accomplished almost everything in his career till now. Lesnar made his first WWE debut back in 2002 and became the youngest WWE champion in history. However, just after 2 years Lesnar left the WWE and decide to join the Minnesota Vikings of the NFL.

Recently Brock Lesnar appeared on The Michael Kay Show ahead of the WWE Live event at Madison Square Garden where he discussed his WrestleMania 38 match against Roman Reigns and other things. Lesnar also told them about wanting to retire in 2020.

Brock Lesnar wanted to retire after WrestleMania 36 after his contract was over. Lesar said, “When I was younger I thought I wanna retire when I’m 40. I actually retired when COVID hit and my contract was up in 2020. ” 

He already had retired but came back eventually in 2021 and is having the best WWE run of his career.

Why did Brock Lesnar think of retirement?

The Beast explained the reason he wanted to retire in 2020. His philosophy was he wrestled his first match in front of an empty arena and in 2020, because of a pandemic, he had his WrestleMania match in an empty arena. So, it was a full-circle story for Brock Lesnar.

He said, “So full circle Brock Lesnar story started (when) I had my first wrestling match in Hamel, Minnesota in a garage with no people. 20 years later, and the WWE world heavyweight champion, had a wrestling match at a warehouse in front of no people. 20 years, full circle, full revolution. I was like cool, ‘I’m out.’”

He stayed retired for a year but returned to SummerSlam in 2021. The reason he gave to come out of retirement was, “Cha-ching! [money]”.

Brock Lesnar was busted open at the Live Event

Brock Lesnar had a match at Madison Square Garden at a WWE Live event. He had to defend his WWE Championship against a mystery opponent. When Lesnar came to the ring, WWE revealed the mystery opponent to be Austin Theory.

“The Beast Incarnate” won the match quickly. After the match, Roman Reigns came out with the bloodline and hit Lesnar with a chair and then gave him a Rock Bottom on the stairs. Lesnar was busted open after the beat down.

The feud between Reigns and Lesnar has been building up for some time and it will be exciting to see it reach its culmination at WrestleMania.
