The Undertaker has had one of the longest careers in WWE history. Debuting all the way back in 1990, The Deadman wrestled until 2020 and kept his character relevant and popular amongst WWE fans.
Part of this process was the reinvention of his character from time to time, to add more depth to the story of The Phenom. In the late 1990s, The Undertaker formed a faction known as “The Ministry of Darkness”.
Over time, the faction grew to include many people, but there were some prominent figures. The Undertaker led the faction alongside Paul Bearer and it included WWE Superstars like Edge and Christian as ‘The Brood’ and ‘The Acolytes’ – Faarooq (Ron Simmons) and Bradshaw (JBL).

The ministry was involved in pretty dark angles. While it did not last long term, it gave a great start to many legendary careers, including one of John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield (JBL), who is now a WWE Hall of Famer. Recently, JBL revealed which WWE Superstar he wanted to manage and help advance the Superstar’s career.
In an interview with Inside The Ropes, JBL said, “I Love Baron Corbin. I think Baron Corbin is a really smart guy, and I think Baron Corbin is a guy I would like to manage. The problem I have is I’m kind of like Colonel Parker.”

“I’m tall and so I can’t manage a lot of people because I’m 6’6 and you don’t want a manager that’s bigger than the wrestler and so I’m limited in who I can manage because of the size.”
That could be a really good pairing and can help Corbin’s heel persona shine more. JBL himself was one of the best heels in the business.
The Undertaker and JBL
JBL did not only work with The Phenom as a part of his dark faction. The two have had a heated rivalry later in their careers as well. Their feud highlighted SmackDown in 2004, leading to a match at SummerSlam.

The Undertaker won the match by disqualification and hence JBL retained his World Championship, but overall The Undertaker seemed to have won their rivalry. JBL has not wrestled actively for a long time and he continued in WWE as a commentator. It remains to be seen if the WWE Hall of Famer will return to manage Baron Corbin.
