Back in the 80s and 90s, WWE had a certain way of telling their stories. The same happened during the feud between Hulk Hogan and The Iron Sheik.
Now, it is no secret that The Iron Sheik absolutely hates Hulk Hogan and has openly mocked Hogan’s current health status on the internet.

However, Sheik thinks that he deserves more wins against Hogan but Hogan’s backstage politics always got in the way of Sheik and he was made to take the loss.
Sheik made this revelation when a fan on Twitter wrote “Name an athlete who deserved better”, to which Sheik replied that he deserved more but Hogan stopped him in his tracks.

Hulk Hogan defeated The Iron Sheik in historic fashion
The two legendary wrestlers were the talk of the town during the 80s. Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan was fresh off from this cameo in the ‘Rocky’ franchise and his popularity was gaining media attention.
Meanwhile, Iron Sheik was an established heel in the business. Sheik dominated WWE with his heel tactics and trashed the United States of America and claimed that Iraq was a higher power. Of course, all of it was part of a storyline.
At the end of the day, it was WWE’s way of making an ultimate babyface and WWE chairman Vince McMahon produced a stroke of genius when he put the Hulkster against Sheik.
As mentioned, Hogan was stirring the wrestling industry since his days in Verne Gagne’s promotion and his latest Hollywood exposure made him a household name.
