WWE Hints At Huge Matchups for WWE Champion Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre recently completed hundred days as WWE champion. The Scot won the title in the main event of WrestleMania 36, defeating the Beast Brock Lesnar.

McIntyre has been a fighting and a very dominant champion since winning the WWE title. Further on that night, he defended his title successfully against The Big Show after the show went off air.

Since then, he has steamrolled his opponents, defending the strap successfully against Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley.

In a few days at The Horror Show at Extreme Rules, he defends his title against Dolph Ziggler. Should the psychopath go over against The Showoff, McIntyre would look forward to his next challenger.

Some potential dream matches for Drew McIntyre

Here are a few dream opponents every WWE fan would like to see Drew McIntyre fight against.

The Fiend

Bray Wyatt and Drew McIntyre will definitely produce one hell of a match. Their contrasting characters would certainly make this contest interesting.

The chosen one is a no-nonsense Scot who is up for a fight anytime. The Fiend is a spilt personality Superstar who prefers to get into the minds of his opponents before he enters the ring.

Keith Lee

Keith Lee wrote his name in the history books defeating Adam Cole at NXT: The Great American Bash. Relive that historic moment once again in the link mentioned above.

Lee has a similar timeline with McIntyre in the past five years. Both the champs wrestled on different promotions between 2014-2017. In the years 2017 and 2018 respectively, McIntyre and Lee joined NXT.

In the year 2020, both superstars had their crowning moments. This matchup would be nothing short of history.

Karrion Kross

Very few would have had an impactful year like Karrion Kross. Both McIntyre and Kross have a hard-hitting wrestling style. A match-up between the two will be an intense one. The WWE universe will definitely get a real fight feel.

Otis has had the year of his life in the WWE. After winning Mandy Rose’s heart, he defeated Dolph Ziggler at WrestleMania and then went on to climb the corporate ladder winning the Money in the Bank contract.

One should not be surprised if he cashes it in on Drew McIntyre. This rivalry would be an interesting one with McIntyre being an intense character and Otis a more comedic one.

Braun Strowman

Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman both won their respective titles at WrestleMania against legends like Brock Lesnar and Goldberg. Since then, both have been unstoppable. Both champions have run through everyone in their way.

However, the debate of the more dominant champion can be settled in one way only. That’s with both of them squaring off in the ring. The day both these champions face each other, the match will definitely be a ‘Slobber Knocker’, to quote good ol’ Jimm Ross.
