Is Bray Wyatt returning to WWE? Well, there’s no proper answer for that. However, there may be an indication, a ray of hope if one must!
WWE has been seeking The Fiend merchandise on its website and was selling The Fiend merchandise at SummerSlam in Las Vegas. This is a bit confusing because the company does not sell merchandise of released superstars. However, this could be a loophole.

The Fiend is a masked character. Anyone who wears the mask becomes The Fiend. Hence, it’s possible the company is bringing back The Fiend and not Bray Wyatt. Considering all characters built by the company are WWE’s assets, the company is allowed to use them as and when they wish to.
If this is the case, WWE will not bring back Bray Wyatt but could bring The Fiend back to town!

Bray Wyatt could join another promotion
When WWE released Wyatt, it was an enormous shock for the entire WWE Universe. Nobody expected the company to release someone who was portraying a unique character like The Fiend. In fact, Wyatt was a part of WrestleMania 37 as well. Therefore, it was quite the situation when the announcement was made official.
Now, Wyatt is serving the non-compete ninety-day clause. However, after this, he has different promotions to look out for. While AEW being the most obvious, reportedly even IMPACT Wrestling is an option.
“I’ve heard different things. I know Impact is really after him, from what I understand… There’s certainly people in high places that are of the belief that he’s coming, yes.” H/t Wrestling Inc

If all goes well, Bray Wyatt’s fans might see him working with another company right after his non-compete clause ends.
Coming to AEW, it may not be a complete lock since the company recently acquired CM Punk and potentially Daniel Bryan. It’s already a roster made out of former WWE Superstars. It’s possible Wyatt will not be able to use The Fiend in another company. In this situation, he will need to bring something more to the table!
