Seth Rollins is currently on the top of the mountain winning the world heavyweight championship title at Night of Champions 2023 last weekend. Even after his terrific performance at the event, some questions still linger in the air regarding his ability to do as well as a reigning champion as Roman Reigns.
That being said, Hall of Famer Bully Ray didn’t hang back to take the newly crowned champion’s side. He spoke his mind about how Rollins will prove to be the perfect beholder of the honor he just earned.

Rollins, being the newest champion, becomes the current talk of the town in WWE Universe. He is already gearing up to face a lot of potential contenders for the title who have their eyes fixed on the prize. However, the title is already being viewed as a secondary championship with Reigns holding the Undisputed WWE titles and the title match between Rollins and Styles opened the Night of Champions further adding fuel to that belief.
Bully Ray’s co-host in the Busted Open podcast, Dave LaGreca voiced his take on the WHC main event match.
Dave believe that the match between Seth Rollins and AJ Styles didn’t deserve to be the main event of the show. He also noted that Rollins’s title win is nothing more special than Triple H introducing the newest honor in Chicago last month.

However, he had to face an interruption in the middle. The former WWE star Bully Ray opposed him, saying, ”I said the guy that should hold that title is Seth Rollins. Seth Rollins will give life to that title. It’s just a matter of a few days, guys. The next Monday and it’s Friday for the next couple of weeks. We will see if Seth Rollins is going to be a fighting champion.”
There was already a glimpse regarding Rollins’ upcoming challenge, but a new report dismissed that, keeping the air of confusion intact.
The latest update on Seth Rollins’ challenge revealed
Over the weekend, rumors emerged about Lesnar being the first obstruction in Rollins’ path to retain his title. It seems to be a sound plan, given their well-documented history in the past. Rollins knocked down ‘The Beast Incarnate’ twice, during WrestleMania 35 and SummerSlam 2019.

However, wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer recently came up with the latest update that says there’s no truth to that rumor as Lesnar is still continuing his unfinished business with Rhodes. The former AEW star also challenged Lesnar for a third match on this week’s Raw episode.
Contradicting his previous report, Meltzer noted, ”There is nothing in the cards right now for Lesnar with Seth Rollins. It’s not. I mean, they could do it later, but it’s nothing that’s in the plans right now. It’s just Lesnar with Cody.”
Now, we will have to see who will be the person to emerge as the first threat to his title. However, regardless of whoever it will be, it’s going to be a fun-packed ride, seeing if Seth Rollins can truly cement the tottering importance of the newest World Heavyweight Championship through his commendable run or not.
