The WWE Hall of Famer Hacksaw Jim Duggan took to social media to announce that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, and will undergo surgery for the same.
However, he revealed that his wife and him have known about this for a while. Hence, his wife, Debra, will keep everyone updated about his surgery while he takes a break from social media following this surgery.

For now, there’s not much known about his condition, but he’s been dealing with prostate cancer for months now, and had to get an emergency surgery done recently.

In 2018, Duggan went through a heart procedure for AFIB. A year later, he underwent another surgery because of an infection.

Jim Duggan won the inaugural Royal Rumble in 1988
The Hall of Famer secured the victory at the very first Royal Rumble match. It was a 20-man match, and Vince McMahon was the commentator.
The match featured the likes of The Ultimate Warrior, Jake Roberts, Bret Hart (first ever Royal Rumble entrant), Hillbilly Jim, and others. The match lasted for a little over half an hour, Duggan entered the match as the number 13th entrant.
He eliminated One Man Gang to become the first ever Royal Rumble winner. Apart from One-Man Gang, he eliminated Nikolai Volkoff and Danny Davis.
The greatness of this match led to the company ensuring that Royal Rumble featured a match with multiple Superstars, fighting for the title opportunity at WrestleMania. It started off with just the men having a multi Superstars Royal Rumble match, but has now extended to the women’s division as well.

Apart from that, Jim Duggan has secured the WCW Championship and the United States Championship as well. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011.
