The Undertaker retiring from WWE was probably one of the most emotional moments in WWE’s history. He worked with the company for three decades, and during the entire time he rarely broke character.
Therefore, there was no one in the WWE Universe who didn’t appreciate Taker’s work ethics or dedication towards the sport.
Now, The Undertaker’s official last match was The Boneyard Match against AJ Styles, which Taker won. But, prior to that, there were at least two other times when everyone assumed The Deadman would retire.

Fans thought The Undertaker retired after WrestleMania 33 for a special reason
First, it’s important to note that Taker vs Reigns did not live up to the fans’ expectations. Even The Deadman didn’t like his overall performance in the match.
After the match, The Phenom returned to the ring and laid his trench coat and hat in the middle of the ring. This is a classic sign of retirement or ‘hanging up the boots’.

After a successful hip surgery, Taker came back to take on AJ Styles. The Boneyard Match was the first cinematic match produced by WWE. On top of that, it was considered to be the best match of 2020!
Following this he retired and revealed he was never going to return to pro-wrestling. His reason being that he didn’t want to perform below fans’ expectations.
The other time fans thought The Deadman retired
