Gimmicks are a part of wrestling. The fans love seeing new and innovative gimmicks come up in WWE. The most recent one is Nikki Cross’ transition to Nikki A.S.H. on Raw. She even won the Money in the Bank 2021, defeating 7 other women. The fans liked it. However, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has his own views on the subject.

Nikki has been transitioning to a superhero for a few weeks now. Some fans are loving her new gimmick while some aren’t. Booker T falls into the latter. During an episode of “The Hall of Fame” podcast, Booker isn’t very excited about Nikki’s new gimmick or her winning the briefcase. He said,
“Nikki A.S.H. Money in the Bank win. I don’t know, I think with Nikki we gotta let this thing play out… But Brad [Gilmore] you know I always feel like it’s a place, there’s always a place for someone like that on the show. But it could only be one. A bunch of people running around trying to be that gimmick be that character.
“So Hurricane was that character in my day and let’s see if Nikki A.S.H. could actually, you know pull this thing — pull it off. More than anything, I’m gonna give her the benefit of the doubt because she’s all in. She’s working her ass off to try to create something with that. If she wasn’t all in, then I would have reservations, but right now I just want to see how it play out”

The fans don’t agree with Booker T
The fans are all but tired of cheering for their favorite superhero. As the fans were digesting her win at the Money in the Bank, she shook the world the following day. ‘The Queen‘ Charlotte Flair has seen better days. Following her long-time feud with Rhea Ripley, she finally won the RAW Women’s Championship at MITB only for Nikki to take it away the next day.

On May 18th, Nikki Cross was a random lumberjack on Raw. Seemingly because she was bored of being sat in catering.
63 days later – after pitching a new gimmick and getting it over – she’s the Raw Women’s Champion.
Lovely stuff. pic.twitter.com/EFUQU0cdks
