“Never Say Never,” is one line that never gets old in billionaire Vince McMahon’s WWE. However, this time round, WWE caught everyone off guard with a progressive move. What was it? Well, it was a T-Shirt, but not any ordinary T-shirt, a 420 T-Shirt!
WWE stunned it’s fans across the globe as they celebrated the infamous ‘420 Day’ by launching some special merchandise. The company launched two new T-shirts for Randy Orton and Riddle, collectively known as, RK-Bro.
WWE’s merchandise team has done a terrific job with both the designs. Not only do they connect with the ‘420 day’ vibe, but it also adds a flavor of the legendary Stone Cold Steve Austin’s iconic catchphrases.

One tee gives a callback to the iconic ‘Austin 3:16’ catchphrase, but with a twist. It reads RK-Bro 4:20, while the second tee reads, “RK-Bro Says I Just Smoked Your Ash.” It’s a no brainer what it means, but what’s more fun, is the fact it’s inspired from Stone Cold’s “Austin 3:16 says I Just Whopped Your A**” catchphrase.
Bro, do you know what day it is? Well #RKBro #420 says buy this sick new @RandyOrton & @SuperKingofBros tee at #WWEShop and celebrate. #WWE #RandyOrton #Riddlehttps://t.co/6sEhGhy527 pic.twitter.com/AWuDduKTIM

WWE has made quiet overtures in it’s Marijuana Policy
Once hailed for it’s Attitude Era, the course of WWE’s programming changed in the early 2000s. This change came into effect after they became a publicly traded company.
Just like any publicly traded company, WWE saw itself take up responsibility for almost everything under it’s banner. Which also included talent health. Regular medicals, tests for banned substances, etc. became a regular affair.
Amidst all the policies, WWE also had a strong Marijuana policy in place. While it did not suspend it’s superstars for marijuana use, but they certainly did impose a hefty fine on them. Fightful Select reported that WWE Superstars haven’t been suspended for marijuana use in “years.”
Interestingly, there is no redaction of the Marijuana policy on WWE’s corporate website. However, the official website implies superstars are fined $2500 for every positive marijuana test.

Who led the charge in making Vince McMahon’s company friendly towards Marijuana?
The who’s who of WWE have advocated for Marijuana use since 90s. Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart was the first wrestler to step up and advocate for marijuana citing it as a safer alternative, but his efforts did not come to fruition back in the day.
Now, almost three decades later, Vince McMahon’s company has taken this progressive step in getting lenient with marijuana use and there are two superstars that have had quite the role to play in this.
Current Raw Tag Team Champions, RK-Bro, have notoriously used marijuana references on WWE Programming. But not many know that Randy Orton has been an instrumental figure in making WWE change the course of it’s marijuana policy.

Randy Orton’s tag team partner, Riddle, too, is open about his use of marijuana. In fact, it is reported that the ‘Original Bro’ did not shy away from voicing his opinion on marijuana use during his time in NXT.
While WWE may not commercialize marijuana beyond these two t-shirts, it’s great to see the Vince McMahon‘s company taking strides towards something that seemed impossible once upon a time. This is why they say, “Never Say Never” in WWE!
