Future WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker is now showing more of his real side. The man behind the black trench coat and hat is finally revealing himself to the world. Moreover, Mark Calaway is slowly transitioning out of his legendary dark character on WWE. However, this task comes with its own set of challenges.
The Undertaker is perhaps the greatest character in WWE history. Additionally, Mark Calaway might be one of the best story-telling professional wrestlers to step foot inside the squared circle. Combined with his incredible athletic skill and an incredibly story-rich character, The Undertaker was WWE’s greatest invention. His legacy remains unmatched even today.

The Undertaker recently appeared on the “Out of Character” show with Ryan Satin, where he discussed his stepping out of his character. The Phenom joked about the fact that people always teased him because he did not even smile to stay in character. At family events and in photos, he remained almost always in character. However, he did say that might change during the Hall of Fame ceremony.
The Undertaker said, “There will be times that I’m smiling, but I’m worried about the times I will probably lose my composure a little bit.”
The Undertaker also said that his Hall of Fame speech will make his fans see a new side of him.
“I mean everybody knows who The Undertaker is, but well this will be a glimpse into Mark Calaway as well,”
Indeed, the whole wrestling world is waiting to hear The Undertaker’s Hall of Fame speech.
The transition for The Undertaker to step out of character
The great ones make it look easy. However, The Undertaker has attained his legendary status due to an excellent work ethic. For instance, his commitment to never break character for three decades is unheard of. The Phenom even stayed in character when he was off WWE TV and made sure the mystique of his character stayed alive. However, he is finding it hard to speak as Mark Calaway.

“And it’s crazy, I don’t, I’m only starting to get used to talking like this and being open like this,”

The Undertaker further shared that he found it much easier to speak in front of thousands of people as The Deadman. However, he is still not as comfortable speaking to that many people as Mark Calaway. Nevertheless, his fans cannot wait to hear the WWE legend speak his heart out at the Hall of Fame.
