Austin Theory gets WWE in deep trouble with indie wrestlers after the John Cena segment

After last Monday’s iconic stare-down between John Cena and Austin Theory, there were many comparisons that WWE made between the two. Just like the US spin championship photos, Theory also changed Cena’s catchphrase my time is now to The Now. On commentary, even Corey Graves mentioned Theory as the now. But in wrestling, another pair of indie wrestlers already use the nickname.

The indie wrestlers who issued a cease and desist order against WWE are NWA regulars, Rob Begely and Dale Chapman. The duo is coming to take their name back from WWE. They told the Hudson Valley Post, “My initial reaction was shock, because of the fact that we have had it copyrighted since 2006, and there’s many people in WWE who know Hale and I, know our names, and know we own it,”

While no one guessed that this might be the news coming out of the Cena segment, there were other headlines from the segment as well. Like Cena unveiling one of the biggest well-kept WWE secrets.
