WWE Fastlane 2021: First Match Announced, Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair Take on Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler

WWE Fastlane: March 21, 2021, will feature a Women’s Tag Team title match between defending champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler and challengers Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair.

The two tag teams have fought before, as they competed at the Elimination Chamber 2021.

In that match, Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair dominated for quite a while. However, Jax and Baszler turned the tables when they strategized and kept Banks away from her corner.

Both of them brutally attacked the current SmackDown Women’s Champion.

Coming to the end, Sasha Banks had the chance to defeat Nia Jax. Unfortunately, she got distracted by Reginald, who was handing her a champagne bottle to use as a prop. Jax took advantage of this situation and delivered a Samoan Drop on Banks to retain the title.

Of course, that wasn’t the end of Banks and Belair trying to dethrone the current Tag Team champions.

What happens if Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair win the tag team championship match?

‘The Boss’ and ‘The EST of WWE’ will take on the champions at Fastlane again. If all goes in favor of Banks and Belair, they will be the tag team champions prior to battling each other at WrestleMania for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship title.

Bianca Belair secured the victory at the Women’s Royal Rumble 2021 and earned the opportunity to challenge any champion of her choice to fight at WrestleMania.

She took her time before she finally challenged Sasha Banks for the title. However, this could pose a problem if they end up taking over the tag team titles.

For example, if Banks loses the title at WrestleMania, she will undoubtedly hold a grudge and will do what it takes to win back the title. At the same time, she will need to team up with Belair for tag team matches. The reason she won’t choose to tank any tag team match on purpose is because she’ll be left without any title.

On the other hand, if Bianca Belair doesn’t win the title, she will still need to defend the tag team title with Banks.

However, the above situations apply if they manage to win the tag team championship match.

Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler are ruthless wrestlers. They have destroyed anybody who tried to challenge them for the tag team titles.
