Following this painful-looking moment, the official immediately gestured the ‘X’, meaning the match must be stopped immediately. Holland himself was writhing in pain.

After initial checkups, the official had Holland carried away on a stretcher. By the looks of it, there is most probably a serious injury involved.

By the way his leg bent, it is fair to assume that he may have suffered a broken knee or ankle. Although, there has been no official confirmation from WWE yet.

Following this chilling moment, fans took to Twitter to express their concern for Holland. He has received support from all around the WWE Universe.

Ridge Holland is latest in the line of NXT injuries

NXT seems to be in dire straits right now. Last month, the new NXT Champion Karrion Kross had to relinquish his title due to a separated shoulder. This destroyed the chances of a great potential title run.

Just as she was about to finally get the push she deserved, Tegan Nox received a torn ACL, something that every Superstar is afraid of. This isn’t even the worse part.

Following his match at NXT TakeOver 31, NXT Champion Finn Bálor also confirmed that he had suffered a broken jaw during the match. He too will not see action for a while.

To make things even more grim, there is a chance that his opponent Kyle O’Reilly will also not be appearing for a while. WWE confirmed that he had suffered several broken teeth during the fight, which leaves NXT with very slim pickings.
