WWE has produced some of the biggest icons on the planet, including The Undertaker. However, WWE also has committed various mistakes while airing its live TV shows. There is an old saying that anything can happen on live TV, but WWE made a blunder on a pre-designed video package. Chiefly, they somehow committed the cardinal sin of botching up a WWE legend’s name.
The person in question is WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley. On this week’s episode of SmackDown, WWE aired a video package as part of a segment involving The New Day. The video was about how WWE Superstar Big E injured his neck on last week’s episode of SmackDown. Moreover, it included the reactions from various WWE Superstars and legends.

Big E posted a video last week in which he informed the world that he has broken his neck. The incident happened due to a botched move by Ridge Holland on last week’s SmackDown. Holland teamed up with Sheamus to take on Big E and Kofi Kingston. During the match, Holland hit Big E with a belly-to-belly suplex at ringside. Unfortunately, Big E landed on his neck, effectively breaking it. WWE Superstars and fans flooded social media wishing the former WWE Champion a speedy recovery.
Just heard about Big E. Actively saying my prayers. Wishing, hoping and praying for a full and completely recovery for this amazing man.@WWEBigE 🙏🙏🙏

One of these wishes was from WWE Legend Mick Foley. He had put out a tweet wishing Big E well and hoping for his recovery. However, WWE spelled his name as “Mike Foley” in the video package. Furthermore, even his Twitter handle was misspelled. Both his name and his handle had the wrong name, and it is shocking, as Foley is an incredibly popular legend in WWE.

When did Mick Foley knock out The Undertaker?
Mick Foley and The Undertaker have given the WWE Universe some unforgettable moments. Together, they produced one of the most infamous spots in WWE history when The Undertaker threw Foley off the top of Hell in a Cell straight through an announcer’s table at King of the Ring 1998.

However, the feud between Foley and The Deadman had gone on long before that. Foley, at the time, had assumed the persona of “Mankind” and was in a match with The Undertaker at King of the Ring in 1996. The match ended with Mankind winning by the means of a technical knockout (TKO) on The Phenom.

While botches on live TV within the matches are understandable, a botch regarding a WWE legend on a pre-produced video package is rare in WWE. However, on the brighter side, Big E released another video this week, saying that he is doing well and is on the path of recovery.
