WWE Chairman Vince McMahon to Ric Flair: “I Can’t Guarantee Any Money”

Ric Flair is one of the greatest wrestlers to ever be a part of professional wrestling. ‘The Nature Boy’ won many championships almost everywhere he went. Before signing with WWF (currently known as WWE), Flair wrestled in WCW and All Japan Pro Wrestling.

Recently, in an episode of the Ric Flair Wooooo Nation Uncensored Podcast, Ric Flair talked about his meeting with Vince McMahon after he signed up with WWF/WWE.

At first, Flair recalled how Vince McMahon talks eye-to-eye and does not look at the floor or ceiling or call somebody and talk 1 on 1. Ric Flair revealed Vince told him he can’t guarantee him any money. Flair said, “He [Vince McMahon] goes to me, ‘I can’t guarantee any money but I will make you more than you made last year’.”

Further, Ric said, “He said to me, ‘Look, everybody knows the story of Ric Flair. And if I have to hear that Ric Flair’s story, I’m not going to sit down and lunch with you guys ever again’. He said, ‘I don’t want you to come up here and try to prove anything to anybody’.” The WWE legend further added that Vince asked him to be just a regular guy and put Earl Hebner with him to take care of.

Well, “The Nature Boy” certainly impressed with his in-ring skills in WWF/WWE. He is also a two-time WWE Hall of Famer, first inducted with the class of 2008 and again in 2012.

Ric Flair revealed why Vince McMahon once fined Chris Jericho $25,000

Over the years, we have heard some stories about WWE superstars getting fined for one reason or the other. But there is a very interesting story behind Chris Jericho getting fined by the WWE chairman. In an episode of the Ric Flair Wooooo Nation Uncensored Podcast, Flair revealed the reason behind Jericho getting fined $25,000.

Ric Flair talked about Chris Jericho once picking up the TV monitor and hitting him in the head with it. Because of that hit on the head from Jericho, Flair got himself 25 stitches.

But after that, Vince McMahon fined Chris Jericho $25,000. This incident might not have been known to many wrestling fans, but is a really interesting one.
