WWE Chairman Vince McMahon Indirectly Challenges AEW While Discussing Competition: “I am Probably One of the Few in the World Who Enjoys Confrontation”

The moment everyone had been waiting for finally took place tonight. Vince McMahon appeared in a live interview for the first time in 15 years. He appeared on The Pat McAfee Show and indirectly challenged AEW.

Vince McMahon has been the WWE chairman for a long time. He had fended off competition from several other wrestling promotions, including WCW’s Monday Night Wars, Impact Wrestling, and many others in the past. And presently, WWE is facing competition from AEW.

During the interview, Pat McAfee talked about the various competitions that Mr. McMahon had faced over the years. He also claimed Vince McMahon is at his absolute best when there is competition around. Further, Pat asked Vince what does he thinks about competition.

In reply, Vince said, “I am probably one of the few in the world who enjoys confrontation. It’s one of those things that put you on your toes. I enjoy physical confrontation.”

Further, Vince revealed what he learned as a kid. He said, “If you lived through the beating and you won, what you are going to do to me? So in terms of competition and in terms of like confrontation, I am not afraid of it. I relish it.”

Tony Khan and AEW have proved to be a major threat for Vince McMahon and WWE in recent times

Several fans believe Vince McMahon has been pushed to his limits by Tony Khan and AEW. On certain occasions, AEW even got the better of WWE in terms of ratings.

But just as people say, Vince McMahon enjoys competition. He proved it by producing some great shows following competition from AEW.

However, Tony Khan and AEW are still proving to be a big challenge for WWE and Mr. McMahon. The AEW president just became the owner of ROH recently. And we have seen several former WWE superstars joining AEW following their WWE releases.

It will be interesting to see if Vince McMahon can once again fend off competition just like he did in the past.

Is Mr. McMahon going to wrestle at WrestleMania 38?

With WrestleMania 38 coming up, all eyes are on WWE programming. And this could be a great opportunity for Mr. McMahon to go ahead in this race for ratings with AEW.

There are even strong rumors that Vince McMahon might wrestle against Pat McAfee at WrestleMania 38.

However, Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer reported Vince’s match against Pat McAfee will be a complete smoke and mirrors event. This means someone else will take the bumps for the WWE chairman.
