Nikki ASH got a major win over one-half of the Women’s tag-team champions, Tamina, on Raw. However, WWE heavily botched the ending of the match. Who was responsible? Everyone from the referee and the wrestlers, even the WWE production team.
In a bizarre ending to a decent match, Nikki ASH attempted a Tornado DDT to Tamina while Natalya and Rhea Ripley stood at ringside. Eventually, after landing the DDT, Nikki attempted a cover, and the referee counted to three even after Tamina had kicked out.
Yikes, this was a big mess. Tamina kicks out but the referee still counts three. Tamina’s music plays. pic.twitter.com/5JSV3NEQkl #WWE #WWERAW

What’s more bizarre is that, after the victory, WWE played Tamina’s theme. This clearly shows that Tamina was scheduled to win and not Nikki. The reason for it is WWE production is always prepared with music of superstars who are scheduled to win. Although this time, Nikki’s win against Tamina proved to be a surprise for them, too.

It was uncomfortable for the live audience as they were literally silenced and confused why Tamina’s theme song is playing even after the former Raw Women’s Champion Nikki ASH won the match.

WWE not planning to give Nikki ASH another title shot?
Nikki A.S.H. aka Nikki Cross was having a tough time in the women’s division in letting everyone know her worth. However, she debuted her current superhero gimmick, and it worked wonders for her.
Since then, Nikki surprised the pro-wrestling world when she won the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match at the MITB PPV; and even surprised people more when she cashed in on newly crowned champion Charlotte Flair to win the Raw Women’s Championship for the first time in her career.

However, WWE is not looking keen on giving Nikki another title run because ever since she lost her title to Charlotte Flair at the SummerSlam PPV, WWE has paired her with Rhea Ripley in an eventual tag team instead of giving her a rematch. Does this point towards a potential tag-title run?
